Softonic review

View and organize your digital photos

Shotwell is a really simple photo viewer that lets you enjoy your pictures in seconds.

All you need to do is connect your camera to the computer and transfer the images to Shotwell, either via the File > Import menu or with a quick drag and drop. Shotwell can also import images from a folder in your hard drive.

Once the pictures are in Shotwell's library, they're automatically organized by date. You can then browse them, see them in full screen or play them in a handy slideshow. Besides its photo viewing functionality, Shotwell also includes a set of basic editing tools with which you can rotate or crop the image, adjust levels, enhance it automatically or fix the red eye effect.

Shotwell is very easy to use and doesn't require any complicated configuration or technical skills. On the downside, it may be too simple for some users, especially in the editing area.

With Shotwell you can easily import images to your computer, view them in full screen and fix those which need fixing.
